Bold Precision is located in the historic village of Kimberton, 25 miles west of Philadelphia. Inside an 1805 renovated fieldstone barn, Bold Precision is a full-scale privately owned machine shop with the capabilities of creating custom-made bicycle and motorcycle parts. With artistic flair Albert Bold can make the intangible tangible. Utilizing his traditional training and natural abilities, Albert has designed prototypes for patents as well as creating and machining specialty parts for industries and developing his own line of bicycle components.

Albert has the distinction of designing and developing some of the lightest quick release bicycle skewers available on the market today. In response to the need for a lighter, stronger, more adjustable post, he began designing and manufacturing titanium seatposts in 1992. Beauty and function go hand in hand when Bold Precision components are added to a bicycle.

As Albert has been a bicycle enthusiast, road and mountain bike racer for the better part of 28 years, he understands the need for lightweight, adjustable components. In fact, his own 60 cm. titanium frame, designed for the Mt. Washington Hill Climb, weighs in at a hefty 2.48 lbs. Shaun Wallace, the UK National Champion, rode a Bold-built bicycle frame to attain his title in 1997 and uses a Bold seatpost on all his bicycles. Former record holder for Bike Across Pennsylvania, Bruce Frech, as well as Race Across America (RAAM) competitors have used Bold components.

In 1982 and '83 Albert rode his MV Agusta to win the National WERA motorcycle championship and continues to build and design specialty parts for competitors. Billy Vose, 12 time world champ and the current 1/4 mile Pro-Modified record holder and Larry Forstall, seven time world record holder at Bonneville- three of which are currently held. For quite a number of years, Albert has been instrumental in the maintenance and repair of racing machines in the Team Obsolete stables. With his background in motorcycle racing, Albert has specialized in building his own prototype MV complete with performance-enhancing parts. Some very well-known people have literally and figuratively pursued Albert Bold and his MV Agusta.
